PJMA was started in St. Mary's County in June of 2003 and is incorporated in Maryland as a not for profit corporation (EIN Tax ID number 27-0494664) with the following goals:

·   To join musicians with the
    community to provide opportunities to
    share and improve their musical
    talents, while benefiting general
    welfare. 

·   To provide for the education of
    musicians to develop, improve and
    succeed with their art. 

·   To foster, coordinate, and sponsor
    musical performances with the
    community. 

·   To provide charitable contributions to
    benefit community welfare groups
    and activities.
